Kitchen Colored Scene

So... I it seems that I am having trouble with the lighting in my kitchen scene. Actually my whole kitchen scene in general. Here are a few versions that I have found to be rather decent.

This first one is a brighter evening lit scene. a light pattern on the walls, with blue light from the window and orangey light from the hallway.

The second one is the same scene but I moved the lights around a tad. Its darker and colder than the previous scene.

The last one is lit the same as the first but the counter top has a marble-esque feeling to it, but to me it seems to distracting.

Any comments and critiques would be very helpful! See you guys all in class on Monday! ^.^

The first one is nice. All the more colorful parts (bottle, seat cushion) are located in the lower right of the image. A color accent on for instance the fruit bowl or the knobs on the cabinets could balance that. The reflection in the window is nice but also reveals that there is light falling through it on the back wall (also visible on the table) which makes it a bit weird that it is totally dark outside. And yes, the big bright blobs in the marble in the final image are distracting.

In the second image you lost the horizontal shadow line on the table which is good, it cluttered the table a bit. The image is colder but also a more blend, less expressive. It needs a focus somewhere, which the other one has with the bright spot over the dustbin and bottle.

(Boy, is it hard to type with one hand...)
