Anyone interested in making characters?

I have 6 characters that I hope to model, texture and animate

this semester I am working on one
I don't have any pictures yet

Im hoping to make him extremely detailed (good textures) with various animations

the issue is that the detail would be done best in zbrush or mudbox
does anyone have a copy?

Im wondering if anyone may also have any tips, or websites with tutorials that may help as well

Round Five

Please join me in welcoming to this blog the students who are taking ARIL 360 this fall! Expect to see some high quality renders posted here soon!

Some instructions for the people joining us: please be sure to label (tag) your posts with (at least) your name. If it is the result of an assignment, also use that as a label. Try and reuse existing labels as much as possible, the list has grown quite a bit over the years.

Next to work in progress and the results of the assignments, you can post (links to) interesting piece of animation, tutorials and other class related stuff. All the students who have taken this class in the last two years are still members of the blog, you may get some unexpected feedback…

Animated Illustrators discussion

It seems that one of the major points of discussion during ICON, a biennial illustration conference, was if Animation is the future of Illustration and whether Illustrators should maybe even drop that name for something terribly generic like "visual artist".

For quite a few years now one of the major Dutch news-background television programs, for which I was a video editor for a number of years but that is beside the point, has been broadcasting short animated editorial cartoons by Joep Bertrams. Like the one posted here.
